Lake Conroe
Lake Conroe is a 21,000-acre lake in Montgomery County, Texas, about an hour north of downtown Houston. Even though it is named Lake Conroe, only a small portion of the lake is actually in Conroe, Texas. It was conceived in 1970 as an alternative water supply for the city of Houston and was completed in 1973. Lake Conroe is a popular attraction for locals and Houstonians to enjoy boating, fishing, hunting, golfing, swimming, water skiing, jet skiing, etc.
