Naples

The city of Naples is found within the tropical savanna climate of the southwest region of Florida, nestled in between the major metropolis of Miami in the east and the northern city of Fort Myers. The summers are hot and wet with humidity and the winters are warm and dry, with an average of 300 sunny days reported each year. Naples is a total area of 16.4 square miles (4.1 square miles of which are water). The major industry for the city is tourism. It has some of the country’s most beautiful beaches, a large variety of antique shops, renowned art galleries, and several major land reserves such as the Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary, the Everglades National Park, the Big Cypress National Park, the Florida Panther National Wildlife Refuge, Ten Thousand Islands National Wildlife Refuge, and Picayune Strand State Forest.
