Jersey Shore - South

Located on the coastal point of New Jersey state, the New Jersey shoreline encompasses roughly 141 miles of oceanfront from southern Perth Amboy to the northern region of Cape May Point. This area of the state is comprised of Middlesex, Monmouth, Atlantic County, Cape May, and Ocean counties. While the shore has no strongly defined borders, those that are most commonly mentioned include the Raritan River, Manasquan River, and l-195 from North Jersey to South Jersey. Commonly known for its boardwalks, arcades, water parks and amusement parks, New Jersey’s South Shore boasts hundreds of sights and attractions from its beaches and beyond. This region is a popular vacation spot, not only for New Jerseyans but also for New Yorkers, Pennsylvanians, and those states that are particularly close to the Northeastern part of the United States; it has even been known to bring in Canadians as well.
